Being surrounded by youth with varying age groups, we all face similar challenges and prepare ourselves for the problems as we experience them. As a senior at Anaheim High School, my series focuses its attention on the kids and the misconceptions others have of us. Nearing 'adulthood' it is a difficult moment in my life where I and others continue to struggle as we try to look put together for others and face difficult decisions that can change our lives; however, with Dirty Kids, it is a one on one perspective onto the lives of the youth who are trying to find themselves by creating our own identity, finding forms of expression and even reminiscing on the children who are just commencing their journey. As a result, I created a collection of kids who all struggle with themselves and are trying to find out who they are.
